Leona Lewis talks "Motown" Christmas album

Leona Lewis has spoken about her upcoming Christmas album.

The singer revealed that she has recorded the festive collection upon the recommendation of label boss Simon Cowell and confirmed that she will have original material on the set.

"Simon is still very much involved in my career and helps me out," Lewis told the Evening Standard. "He came up with the Christmas album idea, and we both kind of felt it was the right time to go ahead with it.

"I'm doing some classics with quite a Motown feel. There's also going to be a bit of original material in there."

The new album will serve as the follow-up to her third studio collection Glassheart, which reached number three in the UK last year.
