The ONLY English Record EVER Bought

By My Dad

Back in the early 60's, my dad bought a British made Pye/Cambridge brand  record player/radio which is housed in a nice 2' x 5' nice cabinet with 4 legs from an electrical appliances/motorbike shop at Lemon Street. At the same time, he also bought this record from them (yes they were selling records too ):-

Alfred Hause - Tango in Tokyo Polydor 237-610   1963

Alfred Hause in a German Orchestra band leader but had made several records in Japan. My copy of the record is also on Polydor label as shown here.

This is the ONLY English record EVER bought by my dad. The songs are mostly covers  of famous Chinese and Japanese popular songs. I attached here a really FANTASTIC  version of "Ho Rin Chin Tzai Rai"何 日君再来.

The rest of the LP is just as superb. I treasure this LP greatly and in the course seeking my daughter's help to track down a CD, if there is any.
