Traitorous Hanoi Jane Finally Get Her Karma

ABC News(LOS ANGELES) -- Actress Jane Fonda's appearance on QVC on Saturday to promote her new book about aging was abruptly canceled, but the real reason why she was nixed remains unclear.

Fonda, however, has her own ideas.  She posted a message on her official website, accusing QVC of giving in to a boycott campaign by unnamed right-wing organizations.

Fonda wrote, "I am, to say the least, deeply disappointed that QVC caved to this kind of insane pressure by some well funded and organized political extremist groups.  And that they did it without talking to me first.  I have never shied away from talking about this as I have nothing to hide.  I could have pointed out that threats of boycotts are nothing new for me and have never prevented me from having best selling books and exercise DVDs, films, and a Broadway play.  Most people don’t buy into the far right lies."

In response, a QVC spokesperson told TMZ, "I can't speak to Ms. Fonda's comments, other than to confirm that a change in scheduling resulted in her not appearing yesterday."

Fonda has been criticized for many years about her opposition to the Vietnam war, most notably a 1972 visit to North Vietnam -- and a photo op that captured the actress sitting, smiling on a Viet Cong anti-aircraft gun -- that earned her the label "Hanoi Jane." On her site she further wrote, "Bottom Line, this has gone on far too long, this spreading of lies about me!  None of it is true.  NONE OF IT!

She added, "I love my country.  I have never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us." (which is mother-lode of BS)
