BYD has launched significant price discounts across its Dynasty and Ocean series models, raising concerns among analysts about a potential price war in the market. According to the NEV maker’s Weibo posts yesterday, customers who purchase BYD-branded vehicles before June 30 can enjoy discounts ranging from 10% to 30%. The offers primarily apply to BYD’s more budget-friendly models priced below RMB 150,000 (around $20,890), though the Xia MPV—priced above RMB 200,000—is also included in the promotion.
