Apple suppliers caught up in Chengdu COVID lockdown extension

Chengdu, a production hub for Apple's iPads and MacBooks in China, has extended its COVID-19 lockdown measures indefinitely, threatening to bring fresh disruptions to the global supply chain.
 
The measures come just as vital Apple suppliers from Foxconn to BYD are starting to ramp up production for new iPad models to launch this autumn.
