中国反制裁英国 前保守党领导人:这是荣誉勋章

中国外交部周五(3月26日)公布对英制裁名单，9名个人和4个实体中包括和保守党人权委员会 (Conservative Party Human Rights Commission)，指控他们“恶意传播谎言和虚假信息”。

此举是北京对美国、欧盟、英国和加拿大对北京实施的一系列协调新疆人权侵害制裁的报复。史密斯遭到制裁后在推特上说:“我们有责任对中国政府在香港的人权侵犯和对维吾尔人进行的种族灭绝表态。”

他强调，“在法治下自由生活的人必须为那些没有声音的人说话”。他表示如果中国将愤怒发泄到他头上，他会“戴上这枚荣誉徽章”。

其他被制裁的人与团体包括图根哈特 (Tom Tugendhat)、奥布莱恩 ( Neil O'Brien)、奥尔顿 (David Alton)、劳顿 (Tim Loughton)、加尼 (Nusrat Ghani)、肯尼迪 (Helena Kennedy)、尼斯 (Geoffrey Nice)、芬利 (Joanne Nicola Smith Finley)以及中国研究小组 (China Research Group)、维吾尔独立法庭 (Uyghur Tribunal)、埃塞克斯园大律师事务所(Essex Court Chambers)。

英国新疆议题学者芬利在推特上回应，她说自己遭制裁是因为“说出了新疆维吾尔族的悲剧真相，也因为我有良知。”她表示不后悔，也不会因此噤声。
