Japan, South Korea, U.S. radar link to reduce missile blind spots
Seeking to respond more swiftly and accurately to North Korean missile activity, Japan and South Korea plan to link their radar systems through the U.S.
The U.S. would connect radar systems used by the Japanese Self-Defense Forces, the South Korean military and U.S. troops stationed in both Japan and South Korea.
The plan paves the way for sharing data in real time on where North Korean missiles are launched, as well as the speed and distance traveled.
